Concurrent MAMC and MA Degrees
The MAMC program is not admitting new students in academic year 2011-2012.
The concurrent Master of Arts in Ministry for a Multicultural Church (MAMC) and GTU Master of Arts (MA) degrees offer training in pastoral ministry along with academic theological research with a view toward teaching or advanced academic research.
MAMC/MA students are required to complete 72 credits as follows:
- Two semesters of study (12 credits each) in the MAMC program before beginning the GTU MA (paying full-time FST tuition)
- Four semesters (12 credits each) of GTU MA course and thesis work (paying GTU MA tuition)
- Complete all work within 6 years of the first semester of enrollment.
Note that no more than half of the credits for one degree may be transferred to the other. [Bulletin of the Association of Theological Schools, 2006, Standard M.3.1] The specific curriculum for the concurrent degree program will be determined in conversation with the student’s academic advisor.
