Ken Lavarone is a seventh generation Californian. His descendants date back to the founding of the California Missions. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Monterey in 1979 and served for eighteen years as associate pastor, pastor, Vocation Director, Director of Priestly Life and Ministry, and Judicial Vicar. In 1997, He entered the Order of Friar's Minor of the Saint Barbara Province and served as a pastor. Presently he serves the province as professor of Canon Law, Director of Ongoing Formation and is a canonical consultant to many different entities.
