The Franciscan School of Theology is proud to be in service and curricular affiliation with the University of San Diego. Our relationship broadens the educational, research and extracurricular opportunities available to our students, and provides us with the latest in educational technology.
Through our affiliation with The University of San Diego, FST students have the opportunity to enhance their degree programs with a wide selection of graduate-level courses taught at the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies, the School of Leadership and Education Sciences (SOLES), and the School of Business. Many FST students hope to go on to careers in non-profit management, social work, healthcare, education, and other ministries. Courses at the University of San Diego’s graduate schools can enrich their theological study with the professional expertise to help them change the world. Students interested in cross-registration consult with their advisor and submit through the FST Dean.

Much of the technology used at the Franciscan School of Theology is provided and supported through the University of San Diego. Classroom technology, educational learning systems, wi-fi, registration, and financial aid are a few of the FST services that benefit from this agreement. Through our classroom audio-visual systems faculty have been able to teach from other states and other countries. The Blackboard learning system allows our students to access online documents and videos and engage in conversations with their professors and classmates. The MyFST portal offers information, online tuition payment, and access to tech support and other services.
