As a practical social ethicist in the Franciscan tradition, Keith Douglass Warner OFM teaches classes and leads educational initiatives to advance the Franciscan identity of the school and the vision of Pope Francis. He teaches ethics, spirituality, and Franciscan philosophy. He teaches, writes, and leads presentations on Franciscan eco-spirituality and the encyclical Laudato Si. With Sr. Ilia Delio OSF and Pamela Wood, is co-author of “Care for Creation: A Franciscan Spirituality of the Earth” (Franciscan Media, 2008). Prior to joining the faculty at FST in 2022, he taught at Santa Clara University for 20 years, including 12 years as Chief Learning Officer for Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship. There he designed and directed an international research fellowship in social entrepreneurship, and worked closely with a network of 30,000 East African Catholic Sisters to launch the Sisters Blended Value Project to foster social entrepreneurship across their congregations.
