Creating a Better Tomorrow Together

The student experience at FST is a shared experience. Faculty and students pray together, study together, and celebrate together โ€“ including weekly Eucharist and dinners where we share our faith, a meal, and our thoughts. At FST, we believe that solidarity is essential to creating change. FST fosters a nurturing community with a variety of student organizations and community service options available to all.

Three Pillars of Franciscan Education

Hear from our
community of graduates

This degree was for personal and for spiritual growth. Still, since Iโ€™m a professional graphic designer and illustrator, I aspire to use the knowledge I obtained at FST to offer my services to dioceses and nonprofit organizations locally and nationally.

Eusebio Cortez Master of Theological Studies, Class of 2023

It was a blessing and a miracle that I was able to attend FST. I had the support of many good people at FST, as well as fellow students. I could not have finished this journey without their help. I am thankful to have learned the Franciscan charism, which I will carry with me now to everyone I meet. I am already involved in ministries at my parish, volunteering and teaching bible study.

Kenneth McCallick Master of Theological Studies, Class of 2024

I have been inspired and motivated by the deep love of God that inspires Franciscan spirituality and the caring, supportive environment that embraces all FST students. I will be applying my degree as I create and lead formation programs at my parish as the Adult Education Coordinator at St. James-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in La Jolla.

Teresa Hixson Master of Theological Studies, Class of 2025

My MTS degree is a vital step towards my vocational goal of becoming a board-certified chaplain. My study at the Franciscan School of Theology has provided me with transformational truths that have allowed me to embrace a deeper, more mindful, and more grateful Christian life.
