The tradition of modern Catholic social teaching is built upon a theology of the human person that is rooted in biblical, patristic, and medieval beliefs regarding creation, incarnation, Trinity, and ecclesiology. This lecture will highlight the theological underpinnings of Catholic social thought for today.
The Speaker
Kenneth R. Himes, OFM, PhD is Professor Emeritus at Boston College and a former president of the Catholic Theological Society of America. He is the author of nine books and over 100 essays.
