A longtime member of the FST community, Brother Keith brings deep Franciscan formation and leadership experience to this new chapter. In partnership with the University of San Diego, FST continues to expand its mission, including the launch of a new Doctorate in Catholic Social Thought and Practice this fall. Together, FST and USD remain committed to forming leaders for the Church and the world.

In this video message Br. Keith, introduces the guiding themes for this new chapter at FST: Build. Grow. Renew. Rooted in 150 years of Franciscan tradition and strengthened through our partnership with the University of San Diego, this vision invites our community to journey forward together.

A Shared Mission with the University of San Diego

FST has been an affiliate of the University of San Diego since 2012. While neighboring USD’s campus and utilizing its facilities, FST is also a philosophical and mission-driven partner. Both institutions are rooted in Catholic identity and share a deep commitment to Catholic social thought, formation, and the pursuit of justice.

USD President James T. Harris III, DEd, expressed enthusiasm for Warner’s leadership:

“USD is very excited for Brother Warner and what he’ll bring to his new role as President of FST. He and the leaders of FST are important and visible members of the USD community, attending campus events and interacting with our students and faculty on a daily basis. We’re proud of our connection to the school and how it aligns with our mission and values. I wish Brother Warner the very best and pray that God will bless him in his new role.”
