A year of growth, innovation, and Franciscan impact at the Franciscan School of Theology.

The Franciscan School of Theology (FST) is pleased to share its 2025–2026 Annual Report, highlighting a year of meaningful accomplishments, academic innovation, and a continued commitment to forming compassionate leaders rooted in the Franciscan tradition.

From expanding educational opportunities and strengthening global connections to celebrating the achievements of our students, faculty, and alumni, this year’s report reflects the many ways FST is living its mission of transforming hearts and minds to change the world.

A Year of Growth and Impact

Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, FST continued to build a vibrant community of faith, learning, and service.

Highlights from the year include:

  • 86 students educated through traditional, online, and certificate programs, with 29 graduates prepared to carry the Franciscan tradition forward.
  • More than 1,200 alumni worldwide, serving in ministries, dioceses, schools, healthcare, nonprofits, and communities.
  • $383,361 in student scholarships awarded, helping make graduate theological education more accessible.
  • Academic innovation, including the launch of the joint Doctorate of Education (EdD) in Catholic Social Thought in Practice with the University of San Diego.
  • Expanding global engagement through online theological education, continuing education, and the Certificate in Franciscan Theology.
  • A renewed digital presence, connecting more people to Franciscan scholarship, spirituality, and educational resources.

Building on Our Franciscan Mission

This year also marked an important leadership transition, as FST expressed its gratitude to Fr. Garrett Galvin, OFM, for six years of dedicated service and welcomed Br. Keith Douglass Warner OFM as president.

Guided by his vision to Build. Grow. Renew., FST looks toward the future with a renewed commitment to its Franciscan identity, innovative academic programs, and partnerships that extend the school’s mission around the world.

At the heart of these accomplishments are the students, faculty, alumni, friars, benefactors, and friends who make the FST community so special.
